All the rules of the flats, where volunteers live and other information enabling the volunteer to be independent are explained. Volunteers get the all the emergency contacts -addresses of host and coordinating organization, telephone numbers to coordinators, alarm telephones to police, fire-brigade etc.

Tätigkeiten:
Volunteering in our organization is a unique possibility to understand Polish culture directly through work and staying with people. The volunteers have the opportunity to work on personal development and self confidence through the contact with young people and to improve their skills, abilities in group work with people of different personalities, age and background (employees and Polish volunteers of the Centre, other EVS volunteers, young people involved in the Centre activities). Volunteers have also a possibility to learn how to plan, implement and evaluate international youth projects in practise. Moreover, volunteers meet young people from many different European Union and neighbourhood countries (east European, Caucasus and south-east European). Volunteers will participate in a few international projects in Poland and, if possible, go on one abroad.
In the office there are working 6 employees, 1-3 Polish volunteers and 1-2 EVS volunteers. We are based on a team work.
Proposed activities for the EVS volunteers are:
- Help in organizing international youth projects.
Volunteers will be working as assistance to the different Project Managers. We have a few Project Managers responsible for different projects like international youth exchanges, study visits, training courses and seminars. EVS volunteers together with the Polish volunteers are working, according to the up-to-date need, with one or another Project Manager in planning, implementing and evaluating these projects. Project Manager + volunteers create a "project team", which is working in a group to realize the project.
- Help in organizing and running organizational events.
Except of the long-term project from time to time we organize small events like association members' meetings, "cultural evenings" or one-day youth meetings (e.g. workshops, conferences), in which participate hundreds of young people. EVS volunteers' tasks depand on the type of the event and skills/interest of the volunteer.
- Help in everyday work of the organization.
Everyday organization works require some office work (e.g. fax sending, documents copying, correspondence sending), meetings different people (usually youth) interested in what we are doing & keeping the office in order. Volunteers' tasks is to take part in all that work when is needed equally with other volunteers and employees.
