Projektart: Arbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen

Zielgruppe:Engagierte und kreative Freiwillige, die sich für Kunst und Kultur interessieren, und mit Kindern und Jugendlichen arbeiten möchten.

Projektort: Baia Mare, die Hauptstadt der Region Maramures, befindet sich im Nord-Westen Rumäniens und ist von Seen und Gebirgen umgeben. Die 1329 gegründete Stadt hat 150 000 Einwohner.

Beginn: September 2012

Projektdauer: 12 Monate

Alter: 18-30 Jahre

Sprachkenntnisse: Englischkenntnisse. Bereitschaft, Rumänisch zu lernen.

Projektbeschreibung: YMCA Baia Mare ist eine 2001 gegründete Jugendorganisation, die für und mit Jugendlichen arbeitet. Das Ziel ist, dass die Jugendlichen an vielen Aktivitäten teilnehmen, um sich weiter zu entwickeln, und lernen sich einzuschätzen. Dafür werden Trainingseinheiten, Jugendaustausche, Kunst-, Tanz- und Theaterworkshops, Festivals, Studienaufenhalten, uvm. angeboten.

Ablauf: Die Freiwilligen haben zuerst eine Einführungsphase, in welcher sie die Sprache und die Kultur entdecken, und den Verein, die verschiedenen Aktivitäten sowie dessen Partner kennen lernen. Später werden von den Freiwilligen Eigeninitiative, Kreativität und Verantwortung bei den durchzuführenden Aktivitäten erwartet.
Die Freiwilligen werden in einer 4-Zimmer-Wohnung untergebracht.

Aufgaben:
-Workshops im Jugendhaus durchführen
-im Bücherkreis mithelfen
-mit informellen Methoden eine Fremdsprache unterrichten
-unter den Jugendlichen der Gemeinde die Workshops und das Jugendhaus fördern
-an Mal- und Zeichenaktivitäten teilnehmen
-zu der Entwicklung bzw. Verbesserung der Theatergruppe beitragen
-mit 7-14-jährigen Sinti und Roma Kindern Aktivitäten durchführen.

Taschengeld: 60,- € im Monat von YMCA Baia Mare

Organizatia Tinerilor cu Initiativa (O.T.I.)

Zielgruppe: creative volunteers, willing to make a difference and to work in an international team, and happy to work with young people (13-17 years)

Projektort: DRAGANESTI-Olt is a town in southern Romania, with a population of 12,500.The area is very peaceful, a combination of urban and rural, in which the two ways of life specific to each culture interlace in a very interesting way.

Projektbeschreibung:
The organisation Organizatia Tinerilor cu Initiativa aims at increasing the number of actively involved young people by creating frames that will support their initiatives, helping them explore and reveal their full potential and by making them aware of the common European values.
O.T.I. is involved in projects on domains like: economic, cultural and social development; defending human rights, arts, culture, sport; protection of the environment.
The project was born from the organization’s desire to bring the youngsters from the local communities, where the project is going to be implemented, one step closer to European Union and its youngsters. The projects idea started from another EVS project implemented by the organization, project in which the volunteers had to do a research work about the life of the youngsters from local communities and about the problems that they are facing.

Ablauf: O.T.I. will provide the volunteer with a safe and confortable accomodation.

Tätigkeiten:
-Conducting a research work about the life of Roma minority in the local communities, observing their life style, their problems, their mentalities, their traditions…
-Postcard from DRAGANESTI – Postcard From EUROPE: it’s a project started by the other volunteers with the youngsters inside the schools. They tried to put in contact the youngsters from our schools with the others from the schools in their countries, by creating a bridge between them with the help of the postcards, made by them;
-Principal for a week: for a week you are going to take the principals place, observe the things inside the school, give advices, elaborate some plans that you think that can improve the things in the school;
-Letter from my Eurovillage: it is a project that, together with the POSTCARD PROJECT, will even bring closer the youngsters coming from different backgrounds;
-Ecological campaigns (Photos and exhibition);
-Puppet Theatre: Puppet theatre is a project that will contribute in improving and developing new abilities to all the persons involved, both volunteers and youngsters.
-Euro Games: will have the role to teach the youngsters about the European Union, about its values, about its countries
-ARCHEO Activities (activities made at the museum, with the kids from here, discovering objects and artifacts in archeological sites)
-Youth News Paper: the volunteers will have the chance to put the basis of an newspaper, where they are going to be the coordinators and the editors.
-DRAGANESTI – begin of the journey: it is going to be a small travel guide that will contain information about the journeys that you made around the country, tips and advices about some of the experiences that you had on your traveling and other information that you would like to share.
-Extra activities – besides the activities that we described you, your ideas about other activities that you would like to develop here will be most than welcomed and put into practice.
