Workcamps with "Bridge to the Future"

"Bridge to the Future" Youth Union
is an independent national youth NGO established in April 2000 with its office in Ganja which is the second city of Azerbaijan. The strategic mission of the organization is to be a "BRIDGE" for young people to the society, where humanism, solidarity, and co-operation are leading. As NGO we mainly promote work camps, summer camps, youth exchanges, seminars and trainings, conferences, study visits and excursions. Below you can see information related to the international voluntary work camp programs in Azerbaijan for 2009.

PROJECT: The first work camp at SOS Kinder Village was organized last year with participation of
volunteers from USA, France, South Korea and Azerbaijan. It was a successful project that helped to promote volunteer work through integration of children to society and be involved in community social work with youth. This project will be continue our program started last year at SOS Kinder Village in Ganja.
WORK : Volunteers will organize entertainment and games for children on orphanage campus to
productively spend their summer holiday, realize excursion programs and organize various interesting clubs, painting workshops, exibitions on children hand crafts, and festivals displaying talents of children.
Volunteers will also provide psychologically supportive conversation for women living with little children of campus and looking after them.
ACOMMODATION : Volounteers will stay at SOS Kinder Village guest house. It’s not necessary to
bring sleeping bags or mats.
LOCATION: “SOS – Children Village” is situated in Ganja city in the western region of Azerbaijan.
This is the second largest city and one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Twice it was the capital of Azerbaijan. The city is particularly well known for its splendid nature, landscapes of Minor Caucasus mountain range, green forests, and rivers running down to the valleys. The nature of Ganja is a peculiar exhibition of beauty which generates human enthusiasm and excitement. It is especially fine in spring, early summer and in autumn. Additionally, there are monuments, architecture, museums, cafes and restaurants.
Ancient Albanian Church, Russian Orthodox Church, and many old German churches can be visited in Ganja.
TERMINAL: Ganja International Airport (from Istanbul and Moscow) or Baku International Airport
LANGUAGE OF THE CAMP: English (volunteers with Russian and Turkish language skills
additionally will be given priority).
Participation fee: 50 EURO
