Project: Palude di Brivio is a natural reserve located few kilometres far away from the small rural village of Campsirago. It is one of the most interesting areas of the whole Parco Adda Nord, both from the naturalistic and landscape points of view. This area is in the European list of the Community Important Sites for the conservation of both fauna and flora. The natural reserve is now threatened by urbanisation. That's why, since few years, Legambiente Lecco has been commissioned by the administration of the Park to maintain the particularly fragile equilibrium of the area.
Work: Volunteers will be involved in cleaning footpaths and green areas in order to preserve and protect both fauna and flora.
Location: The Palude di Brivio is a swamp rich in biodiversity with many different species of animals and plants. It is a wet-area particularly important for birds' migrations.
Accommodation: Volunteers will be hosted in the guest house of the permanent center for volunteering.
Language: English will be the official language of the work camp.
Terminal: Milan International Airports / Olgiate-Calco-Brivio Railway Station.
