VOC 02 "Let it be clean" Tivat 01/07 - 10/07 ENVI

Ages: 18+
The/project:
The project will take place in three towns Tivat, Cetinje and Kolasin. For each of this locality the duration of the work camp will be 10 days. The volunteers will work on cleaning critical area in thouse municipality. The volunteers will work on cleaning and removing the waste all along the regional roads in the area of Tivat. Description of the work: Volunteers will be cleaning the local area around Tivat, removing the waste all along the regional roads in the area. Working hours will be about 5/6 per day. Numbers of volunteers: 15 volunteers.
Accommodation/food:
Volunteers will be hosted in public buildings (schools or other structures). They will prepare the food by themselves. Things to bring: Volunteers have to take sleeping bag, working clothes, swiming suite, also thay can bring typical staffs (food, clothes, music...) from their country.
Leisure:
during the free ti, camp leader will organize excursions in the surrounding areas, swiming in the see, during the night will be possible to go in the town for spend so ti in pubs and locals. Landscape/surrounding: Tivat is located in the central part of the Boka, south of mount Vrmac. The municipality lies mostly south of the town, and also has an exit to open sea at the tourist location Przno inlet near Radovici village in south. Its central part, where Tivat Airport is located, lies in fertile Grbalj valley. The airport is located near the isthmus of Lustica peninsula, which belongs to the municipality of Herceg Novi for the most part. Tivat nestles in the heart of the Boka Bay, 'the bride of the Adriatic', with its wonderful coastline with many beaches, coves, harbours, and still largely undiscovered, very attractive hinterland. The rich archaeological findings and cultural and historic heritage testify of its early beginnings. Diverse cultural programs, popular festivities and sport events have become synonymous with the town. Still, its special feature are its people, hospitable and open for all the curious guests coming in good faith. And our visitors gladly return, so for the sake of the well-preserved coastal setting and so for the sake of the atmosphere of hospitality and relaxation. VOC 03 "Let it be clean" Cetinje 22/07 - 01/08 ENVI

The/project:
The project will take place in three towns tivat, Cetinje and Kolasin. For each of this locality the duration of the work camp will be 15 days. The volunteers will work on cleaning critical area in thouse municipality. The volunteers will work on cleaning and removing the garbage all along the regional roads in the area of Cetinje.
Description of the work:
Volunteers will be cleaning the local area around Cetinje, removing the garbage all along the regional roads in the area, cleaning the surrounding forests of garbage and waste, rearranging the area on the top of the Lovcen mt. where is the mausoleum to the famous Montenegrin ruler Njegosh.Working hours will be about 5/6 per day. Numbers of volunteers: 15 volunteers.

Things to bring: Volunteers have to take sleeping bag, working clothes, warm clothes (mountains nights could be cold), also thay can bring typical staffs (food, clothes, music...) from their country.

Landscape/surrounding:
Situated in the fields of Cetinje, at the base of the Lovcen mountain, Cetinje is a treasure of Montenegrin cultural and historical heritage. It scent with the architecture from 18th and 19th century that cos from rich greenery of this small city. Cetinje is the capital of Montenegro and Crnogorsko - primorska Mitropolija. During King Nicola's reign many embassies were built that give it today's specific looks. Two of the most representative buildings are the Monasteries of Cetinje and Biljarda. Cetinje Monastery was built in 1701 and even though the Turks destroyed it several tis, the people built it up again. There are relics of Saint Petar of Cetinje, one the illustrious patrons of Montenegrin history. Cetinje Monastery represents the spiritual and political seat of the Montenegrin people. For the state purpose Njegos built Biljarda, a building (monastery) that took its na after the pool (billiards) that this exceptional poet, tropolitan, philosopher and statesman liked to play. Cetinje abounds in museums, as well as the Art Academy, parks and from Orlov Krs there is great view of the city and the mountain of Lovcen. www.cetinje.co.me Language spoken: English.

The volunteers will work on cleaning critical area in thouse municipality. The volunteers will work on cleaning and removing the garbage all along the regional roads in the area of Kolasin. Description of the work: Volunteers will be cleaning the local area around Kolasin, removing the garbage all along the regional roads in the area, cleaning the surrounding forests of garbage and waste. Landscape/surrounding: The Municipality of Kolasin is situated in the central part of the continental part of Montenegro. It stretches over an area of 897 square kilometers of the upper and middle courses of the Tara and Moraca Rivers. The basins of these two rivers make two natural unities, equal by size and spatially close by and yet different, each having its own unique qualities. The region of Kolasin is surrounded with cliffs and mountain peaks of Sinjavina, Javorje, Semolj, Kapa Moracka, Maganik, Stavnje, Ostrvica, Komovi, Kljuc, and Bjelasica Mounts, which makes it a true mountainous region rich in all the beauties and challenges offered by high mountains and a particularly diversified relief.
