Number of volunteers: 5 international + 6 local
Sremski Karlovci is a town situated on the Fruška Gora mountain,
just by the river Danube, in the region of Vojvodina. It is a small,
picturesque town with rich past and represents the centre of the Serbian
culture and spirituality. This is the second time we organize this
workcamp, aiming to promote understanding and solidarity among the
group of 8 young people with intellectual disabilities and volunteers
(6 local and 5 international) by letting them learn about each other
and cooperate through workshops and everyday activities. We wish to
encourage young people to socially interact, regardless to their differences,
thus inspire local volunteers and young people to devote to community
services.
Work: Volunteers’ responsibility will be running activities
in workshops of photography and cookery, as well as organizing games,
free time activities and intercultural evenings.
Accommodation: In a fully equipped hostel belonging to our
partners Nature Conservation Movement. Volunteers will prepare food
by themselves with material provided.
Location: Sremski Karlovci is situated 11km away from Novi
Sad.

Special requirements: Motivation for working with youngsters
with disabilities and artistic and/or animation skills and experience
are desirable. Motivation letter is required!
