OZAETA I 15/07 - 29/07/11 Ozaeta Vols 16 DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
What is the Open garden-museum? It is the space which offer us the possibility
to have a different cultural vision to the nature. A space which shows the historical
union between the nature and the creativity. The possibility of being closer to
the nature. The purpose of this workcamp is to continue last year's work to
set in motion an ¿open museum-garden¿. This summer, we look to
¿dress¿ the spaces recovered by the participants of the 2010
workcamp. The creation of a little theatre. First of all, participants will design
it and then they will build it, with the aid of an architect and a landscape gardener.
The reation of a variety of spaces to develop further collective works (a communal
garden). The creation of artistic gardens. It consists in collaborating with a
group of people that are currently studying in a gardening workshop and designing
a garden for each municipality in the surroundings.Recycling activities. Among
other things, the creation of music instruments with material collected in nature
and waste materials. Participants will also turn old wooden pieces into pretty
mosaic-covered tables or straw bales into sculptures. COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES
- LEISURE ACTIVITIES: The activity team will propose a series of activities
to enable all the participants of the workcamp to know each other and the community
that will host the workcamp, and to get to know better the surroundings of the
workcamp. Besides, the activity team will prepare a series of activities so that
participants on the project get to know something more about the culture and the
customs of the Basque Country (sports activities, games, excursions, cultural
visits¿). For instance, there will be a visit to Zumaia and its wonderful
cliffs, Donostia-San Sebastián and Zarautz.The team will take into account
volunteers¿ proposals. These activities will take place in the afternoons ACCOMMODATION/FOOD:
In the neighbourhood of Otaza, at the farmhouse next to the workcamp, it's distributed
in three bedrooms for 20-25 people. Wide kitchen and dinning hall. REGION:
Region of Pais Vasco. Province of Alava. ACTIVITIES: The activity team

cultural visits, excursions, games.. LOCATION: It's located on Alava's
plain, in the municipality of Barrundia, in Otaza neighbourhood, within the village
of Ozaeta. 15 minutes from Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque area. The
environment where we are situated, it is an spectacular nature area, just in front
of a lake and 1 km far from its beach; where it is possible to arrive crossing
an amazing bush track next to the river Zadorra. Incredible views of other hills
in the area and great walks to the mountains in Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park. LANGUAGES

6 DESCRIPTION OF WORK.- Restoring of fossil beds: Cleaning the
beds of dinosaur footprints. Filling the craks. Waterproofing. Mending and
fixing loose rock fragments. ACCOMMODATION/FOOD.- House LOCATION.-
Enciso is a small village situated in the south-east of La Rioja. It´s 73
km. away from Logroño. Paleontologic Museum. Enciso offers us two churches
of the XVth century, the remains of a castle and the bridges on the river Cidacos,
which supported the step of thousands of sheeps. Near the village, one finds the
area of the ichnites or footprints, which spread over the whole municipal term,
next to some almost uninhabited localities. TRAVELLING INSTRUCTIONS.-
By bus from Madrid to Logroño (LA CONTINENTAL Bus Company). Then by bus
from Logroño to Enciso Bus Station of Logroño MEETING POINT.-

URREMENDI II 16 16/07 30/07/11 Gernika-lumo DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The objetive of this workcamp is to encourage and interact with young people
of this area and jointly carry out the recovery of cultural and archaeological
remains in the area., analyze the ecology and environment, animation and social
work. These are the objectives of the workcamp: To promote the participation
of the volunteers in community work activities (children and youth work). To plan
and carry out learning and recreational activities to develop with the children.
To keep children active through their holidays and give them the opportunity to
be with people from other countries, without having to get out of their region.
To encourage relationships and mutual understanding among young people from all
over the world. To instil respect and sensitivity towards nature in this wonderful
site. To combine learning and leisure. COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES:
The activity team will prepare a series of activities so that participants
on the project get to know something more about the culture and the customs of
the Basque Country (sports activities, games, excursions, cultural visits¿).
The following visits have been programmed: Visit to Santimamiñe caves and
Basondo.Oma forest (Ibarrola's living forest). Visit to Gernika (museum and fair).Excursion
to Bermeo and Elantxobe (on boat).The team will take into account volunteers¿

The accommodation of participants in the workcamp will be held at a hostel of

visits, excursions, games.. LOCATION: Gernika-Lumo is a town in the
province of Vizcaya in the Basque Country. And it is located 33 Km from Bilbao. LANGUAGES

Places: 16 REGION.- Region of Pais Vasco. Province of Vizcaya. DESCRIPTION
OF WORK: To develop a social outreach work combined with construction
environmental activities, carpentry,... Work with people who are experiencing
poverty and social exclusion. And the work will be divided in: Recovery of
a mineral holder. Restoration of an English yacht. Maintenance, restoration
and signaling of Sahats park. Creation, start building a shelter and stable
for horses. COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES: The activity
team will propose sports activities, environment-related simulation games,
and working on an ecological vegetable garden. There will be also guided visits
to interesting places in the surroundings ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: Volunteers
will be hosted in a coexistence house, fitted out with bunk beds and showers LOCATION:
Municipality of Abanto, 20 Km from Bilbao. TRAVELLING INSTRUCTIONS: Arrival
at Bilbao Airport. Take Bizkaibus company´s bus Nº A3247 to Bilbao.

CULTURAL: ITALICA ARQUEOLOGICA Santiponce 01-08-2011 - 15-08-2011 Places: 12 DESCRIPTION
OF WORK.- The work will take place in an area of the environment of the amphitheatre
building of Italica, helping to improve its final image and it would be incorporated
into the recovery process of the Theatre: Archaeological jobs entailing cleaning
and itemising structures that make up the amphitheatre building. Planimetric
and photographic documentation. Completing a diagnosis file. COMPLEMENTARY
ACTIVITIES.- Excursions and visits: Itálica´s archaeological
sites, Sevilla (Provincial Archaeological Museum, Lebrija´s house, Cathedral
and Old Royal Palace), Theme Park Isla Mágica; Archaeological sites of
Baelo Claudia and Bolonia beach (Cádiz). Workshops: sexuality, intercultural
dinner. Sports activities and swimming pool. Animation activities: group dynamics,
night outings. LOCATION.- Santiponce, with a population of approx. 7.600
inhabitants, is situated 7 Km. from the city of Sevilla. It was built almost entirely
on the ruins of the Roman city Itálica towards the end of the 16th Century,
and occupies the ancient city´s original nucleus. A major part of Itálica
unfolds in the subsoil of the town´s historical centre. The city, founded
by Escipion in the year 206 B.C., was in fact the first Roman city in the Iberian
peninsula. Today we can admire remains of extraordinary value: its houses with
beautiful mosaics, still paved streets, original sewers, thermae and, above all,
a magnificent amphitheatre, the Roman Empire´s third largest in capacity.
Likewise, the monastery San Isidoro del Campo is also worth highlighting, housing
extraordinary 17th and 18th Century works of art. ACCOMMODATION.-

of Cantabria. Province of Cantabria (Santander). DESCRIPTION OF WORK.-
Road´s maintenance and cleanness, clearing the ways, fixing land marks,
signaling, to settle the paved road and the value enhancement, recovery of
all the access to the road. COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES.-
To visit cultural places in Santillana del Mar, Comillas, Santander, Llasca
de los Moros, El Soplao caves, Neocueva Santillana del Mar caves, to practise
snorkel, pirogues, to do workshop manuals, to go to San Vicente de la Barquera´s
medieval market, to play Cantabrian bowling and petanque. Every evening spare
time activities will be carried out. ACCOMMODATION/FOOD.- Youth
Hostel of San Vicente del Monte - Treceño - Valdaliga´ city council
(Cantabria). Accomodation is in a shelter with everything included. LOCATION.-
San Vicente del Monte. TRAVELLING INSTRUCTIONS.- The last day of the
working camp you´ll be taken to the leaving point. LANGUAGES

boots, warm and cosy clothes, a swimming suit, a raincoat, a small knapsack
to carry in the excursions, suncream and repellent to keep mosquitoes away,
a beack towel, a cap slippers to be used in the river, stuff for personal
higiene, European Health Card for EU volunteers. INTERNAL RULES.- To
show respect to people in charge, look after of all the equipment used, be
on time, to do your duties every day.
